This blog is a lot about software engineering but I also want it to be more about other things I do, doing or did in the past and as well thing I want to do in the future. There’s also something very good about authentic writing that I want to keep doing and trying. and writing about journey like driving cross Vietnam on a motorbike from south to north is one of those bigger-than-life events that I want to share in a place that is not a social media like instagram or facebook. so here we go!
Plan The Trip
My first steps achieving my childhood dream was to actually starting writing down on piece of paper what I want to do, where I want to be and what my general idea of what will happen! so this is how I began my journey – I’ve simply open a document, a paper and wrote down a few ideas:
- Explore new country
- Do a road trip
- Ride on a motorbike
- Achive something big and meaninfl for me (solo trip)
- Meet new people and culture
My general direction was to buy a fly ticket to Cho Hi Minh City and rent a motorbike and return the motorbike to the same agency in the north, In Hanoi! So I did my research and found the right agency and rent the motorbike in advance right after I’ve bought a fly ticket to Vietnam. I’ve made a few marks on the map and point to myself where and which cities I want to see and visit, here’s is a list of those cities and a general direction of my trip:
- Ho Chi minh City
- Phan Theit
- Nha Trang
- Quy Nhon
- Hoi An
- Da Nang
- Ho Thuy Tien
- Vinh
- Ninh Binh
- Hanoi
In some cases I visit more cities in some cases i skip cities I DO want to visit but this is part of the fun! join me on my journey exploring vietnam!
